Nairobi

On the first day you will fly with your family from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (11.15 a.m.) to Nairobi Airport (20.10 p.m). You will arrive in the evening and our local guide is waiting for you at the airport to drive you to your hotel. You will spend the night in the Kenya comfort hotel, that has the Eco tourism label and which is in the city centre.

Giraffe centre Nairobi

The second day you will have breakfast in the hotel and our local guide will bring you to the Giraffe centre Nairobi. It is possible to have a small nature walk through the forest with a guide and feed the animals. You can have lunch in the teahouse or have a picnic in the park. Our local guide will bring you back to the Kenya comfort hotel in the afternoon, where you will sleep for one more night.

Lake OloidienLake and Nakuru National park

On the third day of this trip with AAS your family will have breakfast in the
Kenya comfort hotel. You will be picked up early in the morning and our guide will bring you by 4x4 jeep to the Lake Oloidien near Lake Naivasha (2 hour drive). You will have a stop here and a boat tour which takes around one hour. You will see hippos , zebras and possibly also flamingos.  After that a lunch is organised at the bar at the Lake. Afterwards your guide will drive you to your next destination, Lake Nakuru (2 hour ride).

You and your family will sleep in a three-bedroom cottage. It has a seating area, open-plan kitchen and a balcony with views of the lake. You and the children have some time to rest and then the local guide will drive you to the Lake Nakuru National Park (30 minutes drive). You will enjoy a short game drive, but one that will show you a lot of wild life and possibly also the famous flamingos. In the afternoon the guide will bring you back to the accommodation where dinner will be served.

Meet the Masaai

In the morning you will have breakfast at the Oasis Eco camp which is organised by the accommodation. After breakfast you will be picked up again by the guide and he will drive your family to the Il Ngwesi eco lodge (3 hour drive). Il Ngwesi Group Ranch consists over 700 households with a population of 8000 people. It is one of the few community projects in Kenya. It is possible to lunch there and after lunch you will visit the cultural village guided by a Masaai warrior, you can spend quality time with the locals. After this visit the kids still have time to swim in the infinity pool or have a nap. Lunch will not be included, but it is possible to book this at the accommodation. In the evening you will have a nice bush dinner, will be arranged by the Il Ngwesi eco lodge.

You will sleep in a family room with a queen-size bed and
two single beds. 

Rest day

On the fifth day of this trip you will have breakfast at the Il Ngwesi eco lodge and afterwards our guide will pick you up for a three and a half hour ride to the Fourteen Falls Lodge. You will have a rest day and your family can enjoy relaxing with an afternoon picnic or spend time at the swimming pool. The onsite restaurant offers traditional and international meals. You will sleep in a traditional African hut set in natural surroundings. 

Amboseli National Park

   Breakfast will be served at the Fourteen Falls Lodge and afterwards our guide will bring you to the Amboseli National Park (4 hour drive). The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. When you arrive you can have lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon a game drive at the park is planned. Lunch and
dinner are not included. You will sleep
for two nights in Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.
They host a number of eco-programmes and
some of the lodges are eco-friendly. You will
get a family lodge which is eco-friendly.

The next day you will spend a whole day in the Amboseli National Park, with in the morning a game drive after breakfast. In the afternoon you have the chance to visit the Masai Village and learn about their rich culture at an extra cost, but it is also possible to relax during this time. You will sleep this night in the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge again.

Tsavo West National park

The next day you will spend a whole day in the Amboseli National Park, with in the morning a game drive after breakfast. In the afternoon you have the chance to visit the Masai Village and learn about their rich culture at an extra cost, but it is also possible to relax during this time. You will sleep this night in the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge again.

On the eighth day of the trip through Kenya, our local guide will pick you and your family up to go to Tsavo West National Park. The park represents about 30% of Kenya’s park area and contains a diversity of habitats, wildlife and scenic mountain landscape. In the park you will be able to make a boat excursion at Lake Jipe and to observe the different birds. After spending the day in the Park, you will sleep in Kilaguni Serena Lodge, this resort offers activities for the children. The Lodge supports the protecting nature and local communities. You will sleep in a family room.

Mombassa

The ninth day, our guide will pick you up at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge to go to Mombasa (five hours drive). Our guide will make stops during the road trip, so the children will have time to play or eat something. Once you there, you will be able to rest in Best Western Plus Creekside Hotel in a family room or get to know the historic city centre of Mombasa.

The tenth day you will make an excursion to Diani Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. This day will be a beautiful beach day. Our local guide will pick you up after having breakfast and will take you to the beach (45 minutes drive). If you decide you want to go back to the hotel again, our guide will take you there.

The eleventh day, you will make an excursion to Kisite Mpunguti Marine National Park & Reserve, where you and the children will have a boat excursion for seeing the dolphins and you will be able to have a picnic there. You will sleep at the same hotel (Best Western Plus Creekside Hotel) again.

Chyulu Hills National park

The twelfth day, after having breakfast the guide will pick you up (9.00 a.m.) at the hotel and will take you towards to Chyulu Hills (4 hours drive). Once there, you will have a lunch in Tsavo East National Park and will be able to enjoy the nature in this Park. That night, you will overnight in a cottage for the whole family in Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge, an environmentally friendly lodge.

The twelfth day, after having breakfast the guide will pick you up (9.00 a.m.) at the hotel and will take you towards to Chyulu Hills (4 hours drive). Once there, you will have a lunch in Tsavo East National Park and will be able to enjoy the nature in this Park. That night, you will overnight in a cottage for the whole family in Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge, an environmentally friendly lodge.

Nairobi

The last day you will fly with your family from Nairobi Airport (08.10 a.m.) to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (15.55 p.m). You will have to wake up early for being at the airport on time. Our local guide will be waiting for you in the hotel to take you to the airport.
